Gearbox Software is looking for a Senior Game Designer specialized in boss fights who will work as part of a multidisciplinary content team focused on creating unique boss encounters and who has significant experience in video game production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting project and departmental leadership with major pieces of design content
Owning the design of a complete feature from pitch to ship
Implement content in the engine using Blueprints, AI-Trees and proprietary tools.
Maintain a great track record of working with other departments to provide clear instructions and feedback, as well as maintain positive team morale
Assisting with training and mentoring new hires
Helping maintain department standards and being a positive influence on their team
QUALIFICATIONS
7 years of experience with at least one published title on which the candidate worked from conception to delivery
Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
Deep understanding of modern AAA action games and production practices
