We are looking for an extremely passionate Art Director to join our Free Fire for the global Creative Studio team. This role is responsible for ensuring the visual and cohesive consistency of the various assets that the studio produces.

He will work collaboratively with other discipline leads like Art, Visual Design, Narrative, Aรบdio, Branding, Production, and third-party vendors to bring engaging experiences and unique art pieces for our players.

The Art Director will collaborate with the Creative Lead and stakeholders to mediate and help the teams take decisions and keep them aligned with the project strategy.

Our ideal candidate will act as the overall concept lead, oversee work quality, and set a bar of excellence.

Job Description

  • Following a product or campaign strategy helps the teams develop the overall look or style that visually represents a creative concept;
  • Carry visual integrity throughout entire projects, ensuring consistency with the game and highest quality for all assets produced;
  • Determine which photographs, art, or other visual design elements to use;
  • Help in the development of Style guides and Process guides;
  • Help with outsourcing. Facilitate the creative alignment between our team, partners, or freelancers to produce assets, like trailers, CG animations, and various art pieces;
  • Support and encourage feedback, team discussions, and foster an environment of safe and productive iteration;
  • Manage the artistic development of the staff through training, mentorship, and personal growth;
  • Create and maintain art schedules of delivery, aligning with other team leaders.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience developing art in the entertainment industry;
  • Professional experience establishing creative vision and strategy;
  • In-depth knowledge of various art sub-disciplines like illustration and layout;
  • Ability to create high-quality assets such as trailers, animations, illustrations, visual design pieces, and branded content;
  • Proven experience leading/mentoring teams and individuals. Growth minded and motivated towards teaching, enabling, and coaching other professionals;
  • Experience giving thorough direction and delivering timely, clear feedback to other artists on craft;
  • Extraordinarily collaborative and who likes to work with professionals of different styles.
  • Solve problems with excellent follow-through;
  • A portfolio that backs up your ability to set a marketable artistic vision;
  • A game enthusiast.
