Build Engineer (f/m/d)

If you are a passionate engineer who loves working on interesting projects in a thriving, agile environment that values DevOps principles, then this is the right job for you!

Reporting directly to our Director of Engineering, you would work together with our game developers and testers to optimize the build and integration processes of our game projects. This means, creating the bridge in between implementing new game features and testing these on a mobile device. Moreover, you would be responsible for enhancing workflows and streamlining the collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CI / CD pipelines to integrate changes into our mobile game applications
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure to execute build jobs
  • Identify potential improvements to the build performance - both speed as well as robustness - and implement them
  • Support game developers with the implementation of new backend features
  • Support game testers with debugging issues and failing builds
  • Implement exhaustive monitoring for our build systems
  • Apply DevOps tools and methods to continuously improve our systems

Required skills

  • Good knowledge of Jenkins and Groovy to build declarative pipelines with shared libraries
  • Good knowledge of Docker to containerize build environments
  • Good command of scripting languages such as Python
  • Good command of Linux server and network administration
  • Basic understanding of how mobile Android and iOS apps are built

Desirable skills

  • Basic understanding of how games are exported from Unity3D
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes to orchestrate build environments
