As a Technical Lead – Online Platform at Gameloft Montreal, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable software solutions. You will lead a team of talented developers, providing technical expertise, strategic direction, and leadership to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and Architecture: Design and develop strong, scalable, and highly performant software architectures to meet business and technical needs with a focus on quality, security and cost efficiency.

  2. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of developers by providing technical guidance, fostering excellence, and supporting professional growth. Oversee software development in Python and Java.

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with game teams, infrastructure teams and others to ensure seamless feature integration and high-quality delivery.

  4. Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring comprehensive documentation.

  5. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and ensure code quality.

  6. Technology Watch: Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices in software development, guiding the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in software architecture, with demonstrated expertise in designing scalable and highly performant solutions

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and Java, with the ability to develop complex solutions and solve technical problems

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire team members

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical ideas clearly and concisely

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage priorities, deadlines, and resources

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment, promoting transparency and openness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

  • Relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in an Agile environment

  • Experience with scalable distributed systems concepts and microservice development

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, standard software design patterns, web application and web services architecture

  • Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases

  • Experience working with AWS services

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with different observability tools, such as Grafana and Kibana

  • Proficiency in both French and English, both written and spoken
