Job Description
As our Platforms Engineer, you will be joining a highly collaborative and talented team and be responsible for the development of new cross-platform games, and will work with well-known licences!
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with engineering and content creation teams to comprehend and implement required features in the game engine, engine plugins, or game code
Ensure the proper utilisation of the engine, editor, plugins, and pipelines by game teams, offering guidance and support as needed
Champion rendering and animation features for Brisbane studio games, implementing new features, tools, and pipelines
Optimise code and assets to meet performance and size requirements, actively suggesting improvements and pipeline automation to streamline content creation processes
Work collaboratively with the external engine team and Gameloft technical leads to communicate required features and ensure their seamless integration within the global Gameloft community
Demonstrate flexibility by providing support to team members during critical development stages and mentoring junior team members when necessary
Provide regular and comprehensive status updates to various levels of management, keeping stakeholders informed of project progress
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in C++ programming is essential, and familiarity with Unreal Engine, C#, or Python is highly advantageous
Proven experience in game development and a strong understanding of game engines, plugins, and pipelines
Proficient in rendering and animation techniques, with a keen eye for optimising code and assets
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal and external teams
Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and provide support during critical stages of development
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to suggesting improvements
