Job Description

The Monetization Director manages a team of Product Managers, Game Economy Designers and Live Operations Managers, is ultimately responsible for the monetization strategy of his/her studio’s games throughout their lifecycles, and aims to boost KPIs related to engagement and monetization on a worldwide level.

Your main challenges will include

  • Collaborating with all key stakeholders (Lead Designers, Lead Producers, Lead PM, Marketing, UA) to define the product roadmap and long-term vision for the entire studio
  • Approving the games' product and acquisition strategies to ensure targets are met
  • Reviewing the systems, balancing, and pricing of virtual goods in different game economies
  • Serving as a contact point for external stakeholders and raising the business profile of the studio’s games throughout the entire organization
  • AB testing, researching, and analyzing data to improve performance and support key game decisions
  • Hiring, mentoring and retaining your team so they can reach their objectives and focus on the right KPIs
  • Evangelizing best-in-class monetization systems and references, and sharing these across all teams

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in games, preferably in product-oriented roles
  • Must have worked on at least 2 different titles, one of them a live game operated as a service
  • Exceptional analytical and data modeling skills, and full proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree is an asset
  • Deep knowledge of top-grossing games and F2P mechanics as a whole
  • Complete fluency in English, both written and oral

Bonus points if you have

  • Managed teams of 5+ people
  • Game design or game creation skills
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (SQL in particular)
