Job Description

As the IT Support Technician at Gameloft Toronto, you’ll be working with some of the best talents in the world from hit games and franchises, including Disney Magic Kingdoms, The Blacklist: Conspiracy, and Uno and Friends, which were created in this studio.

The successful candidate will offer internal IT support to a varied clientele (artists, designers, programmers, administrative staff, etc.) to ensure the proper functioning of their workstations, software and other peripherals. The candidate will also be responsible for managing the inventory of various mobile devices operated by users.

Responsibilities:

From the beginning of your journey with us you will be:

  • Providing PC support and troubleshooting hardware and software on employee systems (issues with email, network, and peripheral equipment, for example);
  • Installing applications and operating systems, upgrading and performing maintenance according to standards defined by the ISOPS (Infrastructure Services & Online Platforms Solutions) team;
  • Installing and deploying hardware, including PCs, printers, and VoIP phones;
  • Automating tasks whenever possible;
  • Documenting and preparing FAQs;
  • Managing the inventory of IT equipment and licenses;
  • Managing the inventory of mobile devices;
  • Sending and receiving equipment to/from other studios and remote employees;
  • Installing and updating mobile games and operating systems on various mobile devices

Qualifications

  • Experience as a computer technician in a technical support service;
  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related experience;
  • Experience managing, maintaining and troubleshooting a large installed base of PC computers (mainly Windows 10);
  • Experience and excellent knowledge of MS products (Windows 10, Office and Visual Studio), and basic knowledge of networking (web, proxy, FTP, SMB, etc.);
  • Experience with a corporate VoIP system;
  • Experience with enterprise-class deployment and inventory applications is an asset;
  • Experience with enterprise-class antivirus solutions;
  • Experience with enterprise-class WiFi;
  • Experience with WinPE, MDT, and WDS (or other software) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the mobile market (devices, OS and app stores);
  • Knowledge of open-source software (Open Office, Thunderbird, etc;
  • Willing and able to complete physical tasks, such as lifting PC's ~40lbs, racking servers, moving desks around the studio, etc.;
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • Good sense of analysis and able to solve configuration problems;
  • Able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment;
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently;
