Job Description

Gameloft Bucharest is on the hunt for passionate Game Programming Interns!

Are you enthusiastic about the gaming industry, knowledgeable in Unreal Engine 4 or 5, and familiar with C++? Have you always wanted to turn your code into games? This is your chance to be part of a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team mentored by our top seniors in the studio.

From the beginning of your journey with us, you will:

  • Develop and implement gameplay features using Unreal Engine blueprints and C++

  • Debug and optimize game code

  • Collaborate with designers and other colleagues to integrate game mechanics and features

  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and brainstorm ideas

  • Learn how to form an independent team with your fellow interns, working on turning pitches into prototypes

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Unreal Engine (versions 4 or 5)

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine blueprints and C++ programming

  • Basic debugging and problems-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written)

Nice to Have:

  • Portfolio showcasing relevant work

  • Prior experience in personal or academic game development projects

  • Exposure to other game engines or development tools

  • Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)

  • Interest and history with games across various genres and platforms, and good media culture (movies, TV shows)

The internship will last for 3 months and will start in September. It will be part-time (4 hours/day) and hybrid (2 days in the office/week).
