Gameloft Montreal is looking for an Environment Artist to join the team working on DISNEY DREAMLIGHT VALLEY, a cross-platform hybrid life-sim/adventure game available on multiple platforms!

Filled with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring iconic Disney and Pixar characters, Disney Dreamlight Valley is an original Gameloft Montreal production created by a passionate team eager to welcome you!

From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

  • Working in collaboration with the production team and the lead artist

  • Creating high-quality environments, props and modular kits (organic, mechanical, architectural) for next-gen platforms

  • Using in-house tools and adapting your work methods accordingly, while relaying suggestions, issues, and comments to the relevant parties

  • Following outlined artistic directives, design intent and technical limitations

  • Exhibiting organization and attention to detail in your work

  • Taking responsibility for assigned tasks

  • Using all available communication channels to efficiently share questions, comments and updates with the relevant colleagues and team leads

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years in the game industry (experience on a shipped and/or live game is an asset)

  • Interest in video games; more specifically, live titles, cozy sims and stylized games

  • Mastery of traditional 3D modeling workflows (3ds Max or Maya) for the creation

  • Mastery of the following additional production tools:ZBrush, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance 3D Designer/Painter, Houdini

  • Strong knowledge of lighting, shading and baking techniques

  • Strong artistic foundation (understanding of colour, composition and lighting)

  • Experience with real-time modular production environments and mastery of one or more production frameworks, such as Unity or Unreal

  • Strong knowledge of various visual domains (architecture, design, film, comics, games, etc.)

  • Open, motivated, curious and self-critical

  • Organized, efficient and independent
