Job Description
From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:
Working in collaboration with the production team and the level artist team lead
Creating high-quality backgrounds, environments and modular kits (organic, mechanical, architecture) for next-generation mobile platforms
Creating assets with different optimization levels (cross-platform game)
Adapting and sharing your experience using new tools and production techniques
Following outlined artistic directives, design choices and technical limitations
Demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail in your work
Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and following up on projects
Qualifications
At least 2 years in the game industry (experience on a shipped and/or live game is an asset)
Mastery of traditional 3D modeling workflows (3ds Max or Maya) to create stylized textures and materials
Mastery of next-gen production tools: ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop
Mastery of creating environments, props, and set dressing based on concept art & references
Mastery of integrating assets into the game engine (knowledge of Unity is a plus) and ensuring that both technical and artistic quality is met
Strong knowledge of lighting, shading, PBR and baking techniques
Strong artistic foundation (understanding of colour, composition and lighting)
Strong knowledge of various visual domains (architecture, design, film, comics, games, etc.)
Open, curious and self-critical
Organised, efficient and independent
Great communication skills & team-player attitude
Motivated and passionate about video games
Nice to have:
Good knowledge of Substance Designer
