Job Description

The 3D animator turns motion capture data into dynamic, polished body and facial character animation using Motion Builder and Maya.

Responsibilities:

  • Create multi-character scenes using Motion Builder’s Story tools, retargeting and cleaning Mocap session data to AAA quality;
  • Integrate movement and acting principles to the highest attainable level in given timeframe;
  • Bring life and attention to detail to facial animation performances;
  • Execute multiple iterations of internal and external feedback to clients’ satisfaction;
  • Collaborate with teammates, leads, and supervisors to maintain continuity;
  • Maintain high level of communication, organization, and time management;
  • Follow technical and delivery briefs, troubleshoot and share information with team and other departments;
  • Interpret storyboards and previz to realize the artistic director’s vision;

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 to 5 years professional 3D animation experience;
  • Experienced with Motion Builder and Maya;
  • Trained in Computer Animation;
  • Solid grasp of traditional animation principles, camera animation, staging, composition;
  • Creative, versatile and adaptable to a variety of animation styles;
  • Willing to learn and improve;
  • Team-player;
  • Proactive, autonomous;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Stress-tolerant, professional;

Asset:

  • Interest in video games;
  • Experience with Unreal Engine;
  • Training in art, acting, stage combat, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, anatomy, theatre, improv;
