Freedom! Games is a new game publishing company co-founded by industry veterans. We are looking to grow our team and are looking for talented, experienced leaders who are excited about joining a startup environment.

As the Assistant Producer (AP) for Freedom! Games you will be responsible for helping guide developers through console development and release processes. Our portfolio contains a vast variety of developers from all over the world, with different time zones, different backgrounds and numerous cultures. You will need the ability to be multifaceted, with attention to detail, and a strong ability to coordinate. At Freedom Games, we believe we are in service to our developers and lead with a “Developer First!” mentality.

Our developers are really driven on bringing their titles into fruition and we’re looking for an additional team member to help support and guide them to their goals.Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will be a key voice for our developers while making sure they meet their milestones and goals and deliver top quality games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist developers with reaching their console milestones
  • Work with international teams across many time zones
  • Assist with console build management and QA, giving feedback when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including marketing, publishing, and community management to ensure console timing is well understood
  • Responsible for making sure developers deliver on console milestones
  • Aware of current competitors on upcoming console releases, and announcements
  • Be the primary resource for console dev kit set up and assistance
  • Help developers through the whole console creation process from setup to release
  • Walk developers through console backends/documentation and be the inhouse expert
  • Submit titles for ratings (ESRB, CERO, etc) and know all of them and their requirements well

You have

  • 2+ years of experience in the video game industry
  • 2+ years Project management experience
  • Been through the console release process
  • Passion for indie games
  • Understanding of current state of the industry in terms of current and evolving tech in consoles
  • Experience within bug tracking software (Jira, Codecks, Redmine, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple console management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
