As Team Manager of our League of Legends team, you will have a key part to play in the success of the premier team within Fnatic's stable of esports teams. Building strong relationships within the team, you'll support performance staff and other team management maintain Fnatic's high standards, and ensure all involved in the team are great Fnatic representatives. You'll also be an important conduit between our Berlin-based team and the other departments that make up Fnatic, ensuring that the story of performance that our LEC team embodies is told widely.

Your Mission Is To

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with Riot Games EU and other relevant tournament organisers, and provide updates to Fnatic players and staff of schedules, policy changes, content obligations and other updates
  • Deliver daily photo/video content from the Fnatic Gaming Studio, in collaboration with the HQ Studio team, and assist players with obligated social and streaming deliverables
  • Work closely with Fnatic's Product and Commercial amongst others, acting as their first point of contact with the LoL team for feedback, scheduling, execution or project management of inbound requests
  • Coordinate events requirements for players and supporting staff from briefing through to execution, ensuring event opportunities are maximised
  • Manage team support staff (ie. Chef, cleaner) and associated budgets, as well as maintenance and repair staff for adhoc tasks as needed
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of Fnatic’s Berlin facilities, including Gaming Studio, Gaming house and apartments. You will specifically manage the facilities’ security, shipments, invoices, external visitors, inventory and purchases
  • Manage mail and other correspondence with local authorities and service providers such as internet, tax, landlords, water and electricity. File and report back to Fnatic HQ as necessary
  • Work with team management to support player well-being while on-site
  • Educate players on Fnatic’s policies and requirements when it comes to partnerships, dress code, sportsmanship, and fair play
  • Observe Fnatic guidelines on software and service usage, from appropriate data storage and sharing to security settings
  • Establish a vast network of contacts in the game’s community, such as event organisers, game developers, journalists, team managers and players
  • Ad-hoc tasks as directed by your manager; generally being readily available on Slack/phone/email during work hours

We're looking for:

  • Background working in talent management, project management or other operational role
  • A passion for esports and understanding of the ecosystem
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) with strong academic performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in German and English, other languages desirable
  • Willingness to travel abroad when required
  • A hard-working nature with a sense of urgency and high level of commitment
  • Emotional calmness and ability to think on your feet
  • Flexibility and comfort in being on standby
  • Technical aptitude and core computer/network knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft suites
  • Detail orientation and quality focus
