We're looking for a Senior Cinematic Animator to bring the world of a dark, story-driven next generation ‘Narrative Adventure’ to life. Working closely with several other teams, you’ll thrive on iterating, evolving and delivering cinematic animation to the highest quality possible.
We’re aiming for a specificity of character and emotion that delivers distinct performance, heightens player immersion and sets a new bar for cinematic character animation. As a part of the animation team, you will be instrumental in bringing that ambition to life.
With genre-defining goals, this title has AAA ambitions and a strong focus on character. We are taking atmosphere, storytelling, player-agency and narrative into ground-breaking territory, on next-gen technology. Successful Cinematic Character Animators will make that journey possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with animators, technical animators, designers and the AD to create compelling, high quality animation.
- Animate creatures, humans and non-living elements.
- Deliver the finished animation in a game-ready state.
- Revise and refine with animation and in-engine tools.
- Collaborate with your animation peers and feedback on any workflow suggestions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Animator on at least one shipped PC or console title
- Understanding of creating and developing cinematic animation.
- Excellent knowledge of Maya.
- Experience working with motion capture data and relevant pipelines.
- A deep understanding of character behaviour, strong sense of expressing character through movement.
- Good working animation skills with non-human elements, vehicles, props and the like.
- Previous experience with Unreal Engine or a proprietary engine.
Additional Or Desired Skills:
- Experience of animating creatures or animals.
- Any experience with UE4 Maya Animation Rigging Toolset (ART)
- Experience with Motionbuilder
- Experience working on a AAA title.
