ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Accounting Specialist position requires a high degree of accuracy in the processing of disbursements. This person possesses excellent data entry skills. They must be detailed oriented, but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Be prepared to build something great!
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Receives and processes vendor invoices by entering account information, reviewing supporting documentation, and verifying all information is correct
- Coding related General Ledger accounts to corresponding expenses
- Address Accounts Payable (A/P) related questions e.g., payment status
- Maintain accounting schedules for company credit cards
- Substantiate transactions by auditing documents
- Perform monthly Accounts Payable and Credit Card reconciliations
- Answering accounting related process and procedure questions
- Follows accounting and internal controls as well as supporting improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager and Controller
WHAT WE NEED TO SEE
- Experience: 1 to 2 years in an accounting related role
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Possess high level of comfort navigating through multiple software / systems
- Working knowledge and experience of bookkeeping and general accounting principles
- A track record of excelling with little supervision
- Ability to responsibly handle highly confidential and sensitive information
- Experience managing multiple priorities in high-stress, time sensitive environments
- Oracle Netsuite software experience is a plus
