ESL produces, distributes, and publishes authentic Esport content. From Live broadcasts, Clips and other Original Programming, the company’s products can be experienced across all platforms, channels and devices. ESL develops and operates a growing portfolio of innovative events and media products. With that comes the need for charismatic, creative and detail-oriented product managers to help bring this vision to life. The Digital Content and Partnership Manager will work closely with the media rights team, marketing team, influencer team and content production teams to define ESL’s non-live content output and how the content is monetized.

We are looking for a Digital Media Manager to help develop and execute monetization, promotion, B2C, programming and other initiatives that drive revenue, increased viewership and overall greater value to ESL viewers as well as digital partners. This person will focus on ESL’s live and non-live content strategy, how to develop ESL’s content offering and how to integrate partners into our content. This person must have a clear understanding of digital media platforms, the gaming world on a global scale, and know the in-and-outs of content monetization.

Your Role

  • Provide consistent reporting and recommendations on content optimization strategies
  • Perform regular insights reports around key platforms
  • Collaborate with across multiple teams to develop necessary performance
  • Reporting to internal teams showing the performance
  • Actively knowledge share key insights around platform partnerships to educate internal teams and optimize existing strategies
  • Contribute to overall product development and direction through insights on media partner priorities and feedback as well as market research
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving digital consumer behavior, market needs and competitive landscape
  • Strategic Internal Projects
  • Communicate insights with a hyper focus on global KPI’s.
  • Act as the insight’s stakeholder across digital platform partnerships and help with recommendations for product and production development
  • Develop and maintain strong account relationships, working effectively with media partners to ‘know their business’ and provide ‘first point of contact’ in the name of ESL
  • With an in-depth understanding of the partners’ services help to maximize internal and moreover external promotion around ESL’s content.
  • Work across global production, distribution, social media and product teams to gather information to streamline source of information for media partnership execution.
  • Align internally with sponsoring and advertisement departments on ESL’s partnerships and manage granted exclusivities with regards to the digital partnerships.
  • Deliver consistent performance reporting to be shared with partners
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders such as editors, commentators, technicians, influencers and sales personnel.
  • With an in-depth understanding of the partners’ services help to maximize internal and moreover external promotion around ESL’s content.
  • Work across global production, distribution, social media and product teams to gather information to streamline source of information for media partnership execution.
  • Help develop a data driven insights and analytics system to drive content performance and growth
  • Demonstrate both project and product management skills

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • First Language English / German preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years digital media experience
  • Deep understanding of global gaming, endemic esports platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and Facebook as well as other global digital video services
  • Solid understanding of business, marketing, and innovation strategies and the digital distribution landscape
  • Understanding of content monetization via platform ads, sponsorship & B2C revenue
  • Basic understanding of broadcast technologies as well as capabilities and possibilities around a live broadcast production
  • Comfortable with working across multinational project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Comfortable with international travel
