Epic is building a team of engineers and artists dedicated to growing the Unreal Engine’s Enterprise capabilities to continue our expansion in verticals outside the traditional games industry. In this role you will be a part of the Technical Account Management team, working hand in hand with our Enterprise customers to utilize the engine for projects in architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), alongside colleagues focusing on film/FX/broadcast TV, manufacturing, aviation, automotive, simulation and more.

Responsibilities

  • Providing licensee project assistance and guidance focused on helping our partners deliver against their goals
  • Utilizing your past experience working on real-time visualization projects in AEC you’ll be working closely with Unreal Engine licensees to mentor, guide and provide technical support and training
  • Assisting with Unreal Engine licensing efforts including, but not limited to, live Unreal Engine demonstrations, arranging evaluations, providing pre- and post-license technical support, evangelizing Unreal Engine at trade shows
  • Continually growing own knowledge of the engine and tools to provide effective recommendations and guidance to the team and our customers
  • Understanding the roadmaps for Epic’s products and how the roadmaps can solve problems in AEC
  • Identifying bottlenecks and limitations in the sector pipeline, tools and document improvement recommendations
  • Composing papers for conferences, publications and marketing and having the ability to present at events
  • Supporting clients in order to help them be successful using Unreal Engine
  • Working with technical product managers giving them client feedback about Unreal Engine tools and techniques
  • Managing resources in order to help clients
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Ability to identify and solve any problems clients may experience with Unreal Engine

Qualifications

  • AEC industry expert
  • Knowledge of AEC visualization tools such as V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, Unity, and Twinmotion
  • Knowledge of techniques of data preparation of AEC assets for real-time visualization
  • Knowledge of tools used to prepare data for visualization such as 3ds Max or Cinema 4D
  • Knowledge of CAD tools used in AEC such as Rhino, SketchUp, Revit and Archicad
  • A keen analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
  • Expert with Unreal Engine. 5 years minimum
  • Self-starter – takes ownership of the technical relationship with developers and works proactively to set up systems to smooth the road from eval to license
  • Detail oriented with strong English language communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in the field of expertise (online presence, involvement in significant projects, awards, and prizes, etc…)
  • Able to communicate complex technical issues via email or face to face
  • Track record shipping projects on PC, Mac, or Linux is important, experience shipping VR, AR, mobile or on video games platforms is a plus
