Overview

Epic Games is searching for a Northern European HR Business Partner who will create amazing, fun experiences for the talented people who use our technology and make our games. We are looking for a people loving, motivated and customer service oriented HR person who is comfortable living in the grey. This exciting new role partners with employees of all levels to ensure Epic is an amazing place to work with opportunities for growth!

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of a fast growth, global company growth and the impacts this has on the teams
  • Works with local teams and country leads in Sweden, Finland as well as other European countries to partner from an overall HR perspective
  • Providing pragmatic coaching to business units in the areas of talent development, organizational design, performance management, succession planning and manager coaching
  • Able to support change management initiatives as well as Acquisition integration as needed
  • Create local governance as required from an HR perspective, with support from HQ Teams
  • Support local onboarding framework for new hires to ensure productivity and strong employee experience
  • Partnering with leads, employees and HQ Compensation team on compensation questions
  • Reviewing and implementing best in class benefits strategies with alongside the International Benefits Manager
  • Attending business team status meetings as needed to understand the business, the people and staying abreast of changes on the projects, teams, and it’s effect on the business and our people
  • Supporting implementation of HQ initiatives locally, representing cultural differences where needed
  • Supporting career development initiatives specific to assigned Teams
  • Managing all employee relations discussions and challenges with assigned Teams
  • Managing all performance related discussions and plans with assigned Teams
  • Partnering with team leads to build plans, projects, training, etc., as needed to support those development opportunities
  • Responding to inquiries from employees regarding policies, procedures and programs
  • Travel to locations and Headquarters will be required as need to support business needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of HR Generalist and HRBP experience within Northern Europe, specialising in Sweden and Finland and possible other country expertise
  • Able to exceed and deliver results in a complex global fast pace organisation.
  • Expertise in navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
  • Able to deal with change and desire to make a difference is paramount
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Local HR credentials
  • Previous experience in human resources, employee relations and professional development and training required
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers’ compensation, and state employment laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working in a virtual environment
