Epic Games is looking for a Learning Specialist to help direct the documentation and other learning content for Unreal Engine, our industry-leading game development platform.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and meeting customer needs for technical documentation, best practices, and other instructional content
  • Working closely with development teams and product management to understand new product features
  • Working closely with technical writers, courseware developers, and trainers to ensure the depth and consistency of the learning material
  • Delivering instructional content to customers through channels such as documentation, live streams, video courses, and in-person speaking engagements
  • Owning the quality of the learning experience for assigned areas of the product
  • Becoming an internal subject matter expert in an assigned functional area (such as animation, content editing, or AR/VR) or customer industry (such as design visualization or virtual film & TV production)
  • Helping shape the user experience by suggesting improvements to new features and workflows

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning and understanding new technologies
  • Keen technical curiosity, with outstanding research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break down complex technical subjects and present them in an approachable way
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong drive to succeed and hunger for interesting challenges
  • Commitment to following and improving team processes and style standards
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in Unreal Engine or related software
  • Programming skills in any language
  • Experience with various methods of presenting learning content, such as written documentation, recorded video tutorials, live video streams, or instructor-led training
  • Experience collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to establish and pursue a shared vision
