Overview - What you’ll do

Epic Games is searching for a Senior HR Business Partner France and Southern Europe based out of Paris to support our 80+ employees locally in France as well as to support the growing team in Southern Europe as needed. We are looking for a strategic, people loving, motivated and customer service orientated HR/Employee Relations person who is comfortable living in the grey. This exciting role works with Epic’s HR Partners through Europe and APAC as well as our Compensation, Benefits, DEI, Learning and Development and Recruitment teams in our US HQ. Reporting to the Director, International HR, based out of the Paris Studio and supporting our vastly growing employee base throughout France as well as Southern Europe and other growing locations as needed. The successful candidate will need to work closely with the local business leads as well as provide local expertise across the multiple HR disciplines including, but not limited to implementing stringent and costly job protections, a workers' council with labor union delegates, a health and safety committee and annual collective bargaining, as well as aligning and implementing our Global People tools and initiatives with the local team ensuring local compliance and cultural awareness as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement in accordance with local legal requirements, works councils with labor union delegates, a health and safety committee and annual collective bargaining as well as other requirements to support the growing team locally of 80+ employees with limited resources.
  • Works with business leaders locally as well as those globally as needed, partnering with US HR Partners and Compensation, Benefits DEI, Learning and Development and Recruitment leads.
  • Able to create required local policies and procedures to align to Global guidelines, but to be legally compliant locally, working with outside Counsel as needed.
  • Providing proactive pragmatic coaching to business units, Leads and Directors in the areas of talent development, organizational design, performance management, succession planning and manager coaching.
  • Supporting Acquisition work and integration as needed.
  • Driving and coaching on Compliance and Employee Relations needs, discussions and challenges with assigned Teams.
  • Leading and coaching on Performance related discussions and plans within local legislation with assigned Teams.
  • Able to find and drive solutions to inefficiencies in local and International HR processes and tools whilst remaining locally compliant.
  • Able to proactively represent the Southern European employee base from a cultural perspective to ensure all Epic HR offerings are truly global.
  • Support onboarding framework for new hires to ensure productivity and strong employee experience, help lead the onboarding process for key hires.
  • Partnering with leads, employees and Compensation team on compensation questions and able to demonstrate local expertise, cultural and market knowledge.
  • Working with the Global Benefits team to ensure local benefits offerings are competitive and align to our Epic strategy.
  • Attending business team status meetings as needed to understand the business, the people and staying abreast of changes on the projects, teams, and its effect on the business and our people.
  • Able to lead and support change management initiatives as well as Acquisition integration as needed.
  • Supporting career development initiatives specific to assigned Teams.
  • Partnering with team leads to build plans, projects, training, etc., as needed to support those development opportunities.
  • Travel to locations may be required as needed to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of HR Generalist, HRBP and Employee/Corporate Relations experience in France as well as other Southern European countries including partnering with senior leaders and supporting works councils.
  • Proven expertise in setting up from scratch French compliance requirements for Employers with 50+ employees including job protections, workers' council with labor union delegates, a health and safety committee and annual collective bargaining agreements.
  • Able to consistently exceed and deliver results in a complex global fast pace organization.
  • Expertise in navigating within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy.
  • Ability to navigate on the tactical and strategic as needed.
  • Able to deal with continual change and desire to make a difference is paramount.
  • Past experience with growth and departmental transformation required.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management locally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working in a virtual environment.
