Epic Games Fortnite Creative Team is looking for a smart, creative Game Design Intern to join them for summer 2020. Our Interns are given challenging projects over the work term, and are provided with a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance. The Creative Team is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality of the Fortnite Creative toolset, devices, and created games. You will work directly with the in-house design team to shape the future of this exciting game and platform!

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the design leadership to design.
• Implement a creative device which includes systems, design, art hookups and documentation.
• Provide constant gameplay and design feedback about limited time mode within the creative universe.
• Be the primary point of contact for triage and fixing of open issues.

Qualifications:

• You will not be considered without and online portfolio showing examples of your design work and a playable module is required - we want to see a short encapsulated gameplay experience so show us what you can do!
• Demonstrated understanding of visual scripting in a game engine and/or free form logic.
• Knowledge of RPG games and what makes them fun.
• Suggested degree work in Design, Digital Media, Writing, or related fields.

This is a paid internship, running May 26 through August 14. All candidates must be eligible to work 40 hours per week on site in Cary, NC. Intern recruitment for summer 2020 roles will run through February 2020, or until teams find an ideal match.
