What we are looking for:

Epic is looking for a Development Coordinator, who will provide support and assistance to ensure the smooth operations of the team. When done effectively, successful performance in this role will make the work-life of colleagues easier. Equally important, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about Epic and the work our studio is producing, as well as someone who is excited about being part of a team that creates premium content, which speaks to the Epic philosophy of originality, aspiration and inspiration.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Provide overall organizational, practical and administrative support for the story department and creative producers.
  • Arrange content for Development and Production meetings, issue agendas, sort teams/room bookings, meeting note taking, distributing action points and following up on deadlines.
  • Strong ability to track team schedules and deadlines, ensuring communication of lead times and delivery dates.
  • Liaise with our team at home office in Bay Area to ensure there is a continuous and seamless flow of information, regardless of geographical location.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as assigned, including the upkeep of project tracking tools , updating schedules, project calendars, ensuring the most recent project assets are updated in tracking tools and server files, paying attention to naming conventions, and updating key stakeholders accordingly.
  • Create presentation decks, organizing and tracking materials for projects in series, development and for pitches.
  • Arranges meetings, conference calls and provides scheduling assistance with production companies, producers and their representation for pitches and general introductions.
  • Partners and liaise with production companies and representation to route assets and materials for distribution and feedback.
  • Oversees research and development tasks as assigned to contribute to the development of story ideas and feasibility assessments, across different genres. Contribute to ad hoc projects as necessary and to proactively assist the commissioning team in carrying out their objectives.
  • Provides and summarizes creative notes on pitches, outlines, cuts and casting for internal review.
  • Compiles lists of writers, directors and other creatives for consideration for various projects, checking availability and interest as required.
  • Key liaison with several internal stakeholders, creating a positive impression for both internal contacts in senior management, business affairs, marketing and press, along with external contacts including production companies executives and agents.
  • Handles confidential information with tact and diplomacy as well as being a quick learner of office systems and procedures.
  • Has the ability, passion and drive to keep up to date and abreast of the ever-changing media landscape. Shares interesting case studies, great collaboration examples, and industry updates with the team.
