- Respond quickly to player feedback, playtest results, and design reviews - triaging issues and prioritizing fixes or features that improve gameplay, engagement, and business metrics.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to bring features from concept to live implementation.
- Make continuous quality-of-life improvements that benefit players and performance.
- Work across the codebase with a wide understanding of game systems, minimizing bugs, merge issues, and technical debt.
- Contribute to UI implementation and logic when required, maintaining consistency with Unity’s UI systems.
- Participate in regular sprint planning and reviews, staying agile and responsive to evolving priorities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in game development, with at least 2 shipped Unity mobile title.
- Proficient in C# and experienced with Unity’s gameplay architecture, UI systems, and scene management.
- Proficient in Photon Fusion, able to design & create networked features
- Strong generalist skillset - able to jump into any part of the game and make improvements.
- Experience working on live games, understanding how to respond to data and user feedback efficiently.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and optimization skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills - especially when working with design, art, and production teams.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git, Perforce) and conflict-resolution best practices.
- Must be based in Europe or the US West Coast to ensure timezone overlap with the team.
Bonus Points
- Experience with free-to-play mobile systems such as economies, progression, or events.
- Familiarity with analytics and telemetry tools.
- Interest in football/soccer and how gameplay reflects different play styles and flair.
- Comfort working on both player-facing features and under-the-hood systems.
What We Offer
- A high-impact gameplay programming role on a mobile football game where player experience is everything.
- The opportunity to shape core mechanics, game feel, and live feature delivery.
- A flexible, remote-first work setup with a nimble and collaborative team.
- The chance to work on a stylized, fun, and globally appealing project with creative freedom and ownership.
