We are looking for a Project Manager: Product Pilots to join the innovative gaming team for one of the largest cable companies in the world. The Gaming team is founded on passion, innovation, and creativity with a mission to empower players with seamless experiences to take control of what they love – faster, easier, and on their own terms.
As Project Manager: Product Pilots, you will assist in launching a new app for gamers. You will work in close partnership with our product development teams to recruit testers and launch a series of product pilots to both friendlies and external users, while building excitement in player communities for our experimental programs. Throughout these pilots, you will lead the efforts to gather, analyze, and quantify the sentiment of player’s voices that participated in our programs to help decide what’s next.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about gaming, player communities, and innovation. In order to be considered, this individual must have prior relative professional experience in the gaming industry.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Assist with recruiting testers and launching a series of product pilots
- Monitor the project pilots from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring communication with testers
- Ensure action items are being tracked, follow up on and completed on-time and within budget
- Execute existing communication plans to provide regular updates to leadership and other stakeholders
- Put together recruiting email templates, build out playbooks, and create pilot surveys
- Organizes and implements, by holding parties accountable, cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the projects
- Effectively run agile operations for development and live services teams, including task creation, tracking and delivery
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
- 1 – 3+ years’ experience in project management, preferably gaming
- Proficient in identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks for projects
- Experience managing internal and external teams
- Fully proficient in authoring and communicating status updates and risk assessments for multiple projects or workstreams; comfortable talking across all levels of an organization
- Proficient in several project management responsibilities and able to manage routine tasks with some ambiguity
- Intermediate level experience with project management tools
- Ability to produce business analysis based on pilot data to track success criteria
- Constant understanding of project status & ability to visualize that status for any audience
- Strong experience working in an agile development environment
- Ability to deliver comprehensive designs on a tight deadline
- Expert eye for detail and consistency
- Excellent collaborative, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in relevant field of study
- Strong passion for Gaming
- Experience with SaaS services & products
- Prior experience with a data analytics service, i.e. Mixpanel, Amplitude, FullStory, etc.
- Familiarity with scrum & lean methods
