DRE is EA's continuous integration and build experts. We are located in EA studios across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We pride ourselves on providing automation services to our internal customers - EA's game, engine, product, and content teams. Our services include Build & Test Automation, Continuous Integration, Metrics, Reporting, and Virtual Infrastructure Management.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with at least 1 year of experience to join DRE and provide services to our partner team EAX, which operates EA’s Origin platform.

You will report to our Development Director.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements
  • Work with team-mates to maintain automation pipelines
  • Create and modify pipeline and workflow tools
  • Monitor metrics to improve automation systems
  • Document issues and solutions
  • Address infrastructure and CI/CD related issues
  • Monitor, review and assess automated systems issues
  • Evolve monitoring and alerting infrastructure
  • Report regular status on assigned tasks and identify project risks

Experience with:

  • OO programming languages (e.g. Java, C#)
  • Scripting languages (e.g. Groovy, Python. Powershell)
  • Source-control administration (e.g. Perforce, Git, SVN)
  • Build pipeline tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Configuration Management and Continuous Integration/Deployment
  • Container technologies (e.g. Docker)
  • Container orchestration and microservice management tools (e.g Kubernetes)
  • System administration (e.g. OSX, Linux, Windows, and VMware)
  • Monitoring Tools (e.g. ZABBIX, DataDog)
  • Infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Secrets management tools (e.g. Hashicorp Vault)
  • Artifact management tools (e.g. JFrog Artifactory)
  • Server virtualization software (e.g. vsphere)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
