You will report to the Regional Shared Services Manager and support the full spectrum of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit Management responsibilities and ensure the processes follow the Finance policies. You will be offered an opportunity to expand into Accounts Payable (AP) function, allowing future career growth as a shared services professional.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new credit applications and conduct regular credit review and risk assessment. Perform in-depth analysis for all customer accounts, reviewing financial statements and recommending appropriate credit limits and payment terms
  • Partner with solicitors on legal matters on recovery of delinquent accounts
  • Work with Corporate Bankers, Credit Insurers, our partners to manage credit risk
  • Use credit risk management instruments such as letter of credits, bank and parent guarantees, credit insurance, credit rating reports
  • Initiate collection efforts, monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Research, investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or customer queries.
  • Partner with management, finance peers and sales and account management teams to ensure credit and collection issues are highlighted and addressed.
  • Prepare AR metrics and review weekly AR aging to ensure compliance
  • Ensure achievement of monthly AR performance measurements, e.g. DSOs, AR aging, delinquent receivables, cash/CN applications and no bad debts.
  • Manage the month-end closing and reporting
  • Handle our audits and controls for credit risk management
  • Review contracts/agreements, identify important AR/credit terms and issues and work with legal and partners to address any contractual concerns
  • Prepare/Review monthly bad debts provision to GL team
  • Provide monthly cash collection forecast to Corporate, and ensure delivery of forecast numbers, for working capital management purpose

Your Profile

  • 5 or more years of AR/credit management experience within an MNC.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and multi-currency transactions in Asia (Greater China, Korea, SEA)
  • Basic knowledge on relevant international tax, sales tax, and VAT
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements and general accounting principles (606 or any latest changes regarding non-GAAP accounting principles)
  • Knowledge on revenue recognition, specifically IFRS 15 and US GAAP
  • Proficiency in Oracle R12, Sony CDS, HFM
  • Has strong interest to expand knowledge and skillset to other shared services areas, such as Accounts Payables, payroll
