As a Senior Game Designer, you will report to a Lead Producer and work within the Design team to deliver features, tuning and balancing, and content creation, also helping guide and improve other designs and designers.
Your Responsibilities
Work with design leadership to help form the vision for areas of the game, and ensure that designs follow the product vision.
Collaborate with all team disciplines, including artists, QV, engineers, and producers to get support from the team and guide a feature from initial design to live service.
Operate as a bridge between feature development and design for the upcoming title and offer feedback as to how it will be used in the Live space.
Design complex systems and tune them for specific goals.
Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high-quality within constraints.
Take a holistic approach to quality and delivery to ensure that the feature set and corresponding execution creates the best possible product.
Use qualitative and quantitative methods to validate and improve ideas.
Drive feature roadmaps and long-term vision and planning for HUT
Your Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Designer working in medium/large teams within the video game industry.
Experience mentoring other Designers and providing insightful feedback on design efforts.
Experience of console/mobile and AAA game development.
Understand business models, and how design and the business model work together.
Understand why an idea will or won't work, and how to design to hit specific goals.
Design and implementation experience with game features that have a live service/economy management component
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $93,700 - $143,700 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
