Role Reporting to the SVP Asia. The Snr Director of Product for Asia will play an important role in the Asia leadership team. You will partner with EAs important franchises, and leaders across studio, commercial, analytics, and marketing to lead the hyper culturalised product strategy for Asia. You will partner with teams across Electronic Arts to build business cases that deliver shared outcomes, evaluating and prioritising new opportunities for EAs important franchises to help define the Asia culturalized product strategy, with a thoughtful focus on the players we serve in Asia. Meeting player needs and motivations and marrying those to the cultural nuances in the region is important to the success of this role.

We are looking for someone with a understanding of product development, the ability to navigate complex culturalized product strategy creation and synthesis, organizational alignment and collaboration, and an understanding of players and games across the Asia region.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with EA’s Studio’s to develop the Asia Product Culturalisation strategy.

  • Create the Hyper Culturalisation publishing vision for EA's Important Franchises in alignment with franchises growth plans.

  • Partner with Studio, Commercial, Planning and Intelligence teams to build strong return on investment business cases for the culturalization strategic investments.

  • Partner with EAs brand, marketing, and commercial leads to ensure our products connect to the players we serve and the game experience we’ve created.

  • Be a strategic partner to Asia leadership to accomplish shared outcomes across franchise, marketing, commercial and intelligence teams.

  • Pull in and represent cross-organizational insights to inform player-focused decision-making for the game experience in Asia.

  • Partner with game teams to ensure regional player insights and cross-organizational planning considerations are factored into the long-term planning from the outset and the ongoing planning for the games live operations.

  • Hold teams accountable on execution of the Hyper Culturalisation strategy to support the games.

  • Partner with studio and publishing leadership to inform overall goals for the games experience and culturalisation contributions in Asia.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product development, product management or similar experience with a strong understanding of culturalization from the gaming industry (console, PC, or mobile)

  • Experience working with development studios on the creation of hyper culturalised content and building the associated creative content roadmap plans, and connecting those to marketing campaigns, and the development of creative materials to match.

  • Strong analytical skills, along with experience using insights and data to create local product strategies, analyse market opportunities and trends.

  • Experience in Asia, with an understanding of its market drivers and its unique player needs and motivations.

  • Ability to galvanize and influence a variety of stakeholders across a matrixed organization, leading through inspiration and influence across diverse teams, will be essential to success in this role.

  • Passionate about games and gaming communities. Experience with game mechanics, game design and the latest gaming systems and industry trends.

  • Proficiency in narrative building with the ability to create compelling presentations for a wide range of audiences.

  • Understand how to interpret data and KPIs and turn analytical insight into actionable plans.

  • Passion to self-motivate, the guile to sell your ideas to other stakeholders, and the commitment to implement those ideas.
