Overview

We are seeking an experienced candidate to lead the teams that oversee the global income tax provision and U.S. federal and state compliance operations (Income Tax Operations Team). This leader will report directly into the VP, Tax. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading individuals and effectively communicating complex tax topics to Executives and Board members. We are looking for a great culture fit that can bring diverse perspectives and experiences. While technical abilities are critical, we are seeking an individual that can problem solve and collaborate within a matrix environment.

The main responsibilities for the role include leading the group that oversees the global income tax provision and U.S. federal and state compliance operations focused on:

  • Income tax provision:
    • Quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial reporting disclosures
    • Worldwide US GAAP income tax reporting for all foreign entities
    • GAAP effective tax rate guidance
    • Cash tax rate forecasting and analysis
    • Responsible for worldwide income tax accounting SOX controls
    • Accounting for the income tax effects of stock-based-compensation in a post-Altera and post-IP onshoring world
    • Communicating results to Executives and Board members
  • Income tax compliance:
    • Delivering accurate and timely:
      • Federal and state tax income tax returns
      • Quarterly and annual federal, state, and international tax provision impacts
      • International tax compliance focused on GILTI and other key int’l tax areas
      • Quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments
    • GILTI, FDII, and BEAT
    • Federal and State R&D tax credits

Beneficial skills:

  • Minimum of 15 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department
  • Significant ASC 740 and U.S. federal tax compliance experience
  • Proven experience in managing the external auditor relationship
  • Experienced leader in managing individuals and processes
  • Proven development and training of team members or mentees
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Excellent project management skills, taking ownership and achieving results
