Senior Data Architect

EAX is looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to work closely with teams to influence the technical direction of EAX’s data and content initiatives. This person will build, own and oversee the overall data architecture for the data platform including but not limited to data sourcing, data transformation and data modelling starting from data entry layer, to data stores, to data consumption layer at EAX.

They will develop, optimize, and oversee conceptual and logical data architecture and integrations across multiple internal products. They will work closely with enterprise architecture, engineering, data teams to design and implement business-critical enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and data engineering with significant experience advocating solutions in cloud-native data management platforms. The role will also extend into some complex data integration and headless Enterprise Content Management projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution and architecture for a scalable and secure data platform
  • Work closely with product teams to design and implement a modern data architecture
  • Design, build and own data models, data flows, and integration patterns for the data lake, data warehouse, and consumption data layers.
  • Engage with strategic customers and ensure their future needs and vision are top of mind
  • Build cloud native microservices architecture for data with focus on IaaS, metadata driven frameworks and DataOps
  • Support data engineers and information architects in building and managing conceptual, logical and physical models of data architecture
  • Be involved in all project phases and drive data architecture initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as data architect
  • 3+ years of experience in the Content Management space.
  • Is highly proficient with data sourcing, transformation, reuse, and the relationships between data and content when building experience.
  • Experience in data warehousing or ETL experience designing and developing enterprise data workflows
  • Understands the role of data, domain, and ontology modelling in the building of scalable end-user facing applications.
  • Understands the role of taxonomy and metadata in a complex omnichannel content distribution ecosystem
  • Is competent evaluating and working with graph-related frameworks, triple stores, and graph data stores
  • Technical proficiency with standards-based data engineering tools (SQL, SAPRQL, SHACL, OWL, RDF)
  • Experience in AWS, GCP, Azure, or Hadoop and have a passion for learning new and emerging technologies in the space is a plus
  • Extraordinary customer-facing skills, strong business acumen and ability to create executive-caliber presentations
  • Experience working with data warehouses such as Redshift, SQL, DW, BigQuery, and Snowflake and understanding of data architecture design
