Summary
As Senior Accountant II within the European Controllership Team, you will support the reporting under U.S. GAAP of EA Swiss, EA’s international headquarter, as well as leading the statutory and local compliance.
You will be hybrid, based in the Geneva office, and report to the Controllership Manager II based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
Monthly close activities
Review and preparation of journal entries including complex and high-profile transactions;
Review and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations;
Delegate and review work carried out by offshore accounting support teams
Prepare and report on close schedules to the European Finance leadership team including presenting key aspects of EA Swiss Balance Sheet
Review the VAT reconciliations and analyze VAT balances
Review the ICO reconciliations and participate to the monthly ICO settlement program
Local Compliance
Perform controls related to financial reporting, including SOX and Swiss ICS
Test the design and implementation of the Swiss ICS
Prepare the financial statements and the tax and be the single point of contacts of the auditors
Review and file Swiss statistical declarations
Finance partnering
Partner with FP&A and Business teams to manage monthly activities and provide accounting guidance
Partner with global partners in Tax and Treasury
Host quarterly business updates
Review and provide accounting assessment of the contracts
Project management and other
Participate in projects related to process simplification and automation by notably leveraging data analytics and reporting tool
Back-up for assigned peer activities
Qualifications
Technical skills
Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite including Power BI
Experience with Oracle R12 and Hyperion Financial Management or other similar systems
Swiss Expert qualification
Soft skills
Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
Passionate, enthusiastic team player
Other qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant financial accounting experience
Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferable
Professional experience in an audit company is preferable
