You are an enthusiastic, collaborative and driven attorney specializing in artificial intelligence (AI). As EA's AI Technology Counsel, you will report to the Senior Counsel for AI, Patents & Technology and focus on EA's AI practices and programs, contributing to EA's mission to be the world's best digital interactive entertainment company. You will work in a hybrid work capacity 2+ days per week from an EA office. This is a 12-month temporary full-time position.
Responsibilities
You will:
Review, update, and develop AI legal related internal resources such as tools, trackers, templates, playbooks, policies and other documentation.
Develop and help implement EA's AI legal strategy and guidance.
Oversee the review and approval of AI technology (third party proprietary, open source) and use requests from EA business teams and partners. This includes collaborating with, among others, EA's security, privacy, employment, IP, commercial and product counsel teams.
Review, counsel on, and support product and commercial counsel with AI provisions in agreements.
Review and advise on internal and external communications relating to AI, collaborating with corporate communications and business development teams.
Research, test and implement AI solutions within EA Legal and company-wide.
Develop and provide presentations and other internal education materials designed to minimize EA's AI related risks.
Support government affairs, litigation, patents and open source teams on AI related matters.
Conduct legal and technical research on AI and related areas.
Qualifications
Practicing attorney with 2- 5 years of experience at the intersection of law and technology, including AI and related technologies, with a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
JD and admission to the California or other U.S. state bar.
Collaborator with internal and external teams
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): $122,400 - $176,300 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
