This is not a remote position and is for-credit only. 14-15 weeks from Late Jan-Early May.

The EGD Collective is looking for interns to help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire digital marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. You will work alongside our marketing and membership committees on our various campaigns and member-facing content. This position is perfect for candidates looking to get resume experience working for a unique start-up nonprofit organization. Duties may include:

  • Scheduling posts and creating content across platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Discord, print media)
  • Helping maintain and monitor our website and social channels
  • Working directly with our members, potential partners, and community leaders to create awareness
  • Assisting on all marketing projects from ideas to production

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Associates or Bachelors).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who is able to think quickly and work well with a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Available 11-20 hrs a week (office hours are 12PM-6PM Mon-Thurs, and 12-9PM Friday). Periodic Saturday availability helpful but not required.

Please note that you must be available 4PM-9PM on Fridays.

Must be able to receive college credit. Please include your graduation year on your resume.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (More the better!)

  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Reddit.
  • Experience working with G-Suite, Eventbrite, Wix, CRM systems (Hubspot preferred)
  • Skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After-Effects, Canva, OBS (or their equivalents)
  • Familiarity with games (of all kinds) and local industry companies/communities a plus.
  • Strong interest in working in the NYC games industry a huge plus

Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are all welcome to apply, however, you must be able to receive credit through your school.
