This is an exciting opportunity to work with an international and community-driven editorial team to build out our esports coverage on a growing platform. We are looking for 3 candidates with knowledge and experience creating content around at least two of the following titles: VALORANT, Call of Duty, Rocket League, CS:GO and League of Legends.
You will become part of a senior editorial management that influences and shapes the future of Esports.gg’s content and the website. You will produce weekly news content and regular unique features for the esports audience. You will be an enthusiastic team member that enjoys collaboration and leads by example.
This is a part-time remote position. However, remote freelance positions are potentially available for credible candidates.
Job Expectations
- A commitment of 20-25 hours per week
- Produce regular news content on your games of expertise
- Pitch and create features such as interviews, columns and analysis
- Be a team-player and be able to give and receive constructive feedback
- Have a flexible schedule that may include working weekends to cover esports events online
Required
- You must be 18 years and older to apply
- A keen interest and knowledge in at least two of the professional scenes of the following titles: VALORANT, League of Legends, CS:GO, Call of Duty, Rocket League
- Strong English skills both spoken and written
- At least 18 months experience in esports news or gaming coverage
- A track-record of creating awesome content
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience as an editor
- Knowledge of SEO practices
- On-camera experience
- Event coverage experience
- Interest in collegiate esports
- Photo editing and manipulation software skills (e.g. Photoshop)
