The role

As a result of our growth plans, we are looking to recruit a sharp, hungry, and proven Partnership Sales Director to join our team. The Partnership Sales Director will join the commercial team to work primarily on selling brand partnerships for DreamHack Sports Games range of esports tournaments and competitions focusing on securing a range of official partnerships and presenting partnerships. The role is based in Copenhagen with the opportunity to work from home until summer 2021.

Key areas of responsibility

  • To own, drive and deliver results for key categories assigned by the CCO
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the categories and markets under their remit
  • Identify potential commercial partners, understand their business/market and build a database of key contacts to feed into the sales pipeline
  • To provide weekly and regular updates in sales meetings showcasing activity, pipeline development and sharing any insights
  • Prepare sales propositions, generate business cases and sales planning
  • Present opportunities to potential partners, negotiate and contract agreements in partnership with the CCO
  • Develop strong relationships with prospective new clients and industry network to maximise revenue streams
  • Consistently achieve the commercial revenue targets set by the CCO

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or more than 7 years of equivalent experience/qualification
  • Proven track record in media sales, sponsorship sales and/or digital related sales and pipeline building
  • Able to prospect, negotiate and close high value deals with brands across all major territories
  • Experience of working with legal teams to draft and negotiate sponsorship terms
  • Impressive contacts book and ability to ‘hit the ground running’
  • Structured thinker and strong presenter with the ability to sell the benefits of our opportunities both visually and verbally
  • An understanding of the esports industry
  • Entrepreneurial by nature
  • Creative thinking and ability to create and maintain strong client and industry wide relationships
  • Self-starter, tenacious and motivated to exceed targets
  • A personable and friendly sales approach
