DreamHack recruits Jr Graphic Designer

DreamHack founded 1994, is one of the oldest and most well-known gaming events in the world, having 3 consecutive world records as the World’s Largest Computer Festival in Guinness Book of World Records. Today, DreamHack is a global event- and esports company, with it’s headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden and established events in 8 countries. In the coming years, we’re looking to expand further and bring DreamHack to more countries.

About us

DreamHack is a fast paced company in a booming market. We have a small in-house team dedicated to working with graphics for internal and external brands. We are looking to recruit a junior designer to this in-house design team.

You will work in a wide range of mediums - mainly print for our festivals, assets for our websites/social channels and broadcast graphics. Experience within those fields is seen as a big plus. You will work on multiple projects at the same time with varying needs and deadlines.

Your personality and work should fit in a young environment within a rapidly growing company. You will work in teams with a wide variety of people with different skill-sets and experience. You should be flexible to changes with a short turn-around and be a team player.

You will be working with already existing brands to deliver high quality visuals that supports our brand strategies and visual identities.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Deliver high quality visuals that supports our brand strategies and visual identities
  • Manage daily/weekly and monthly design requests in a deadline driven team environment
  • Create new layouts and assets for web, print and broadcast base on existing templates and brand visual guidelines
  • Create marketing material for the web (both static and animated) such as banners, social media assets and news item visuals
  • Create on site print visuals such as event branding, navigational branding and esport tournament area branding
  • Create animated and static on-air broadcast assets that supports the overall brand visual identity for our in-house and external productions
  • Manage and prioritize assigned tasks to meet deadlines and handle revisions with short turn-around

What we ask of you:

We believe that you are a creative thinker and doer with a passion for design, advertising and new media. You have a clear understanding of design principles and attention to detail with exceptional composition and typography skills.

We also believe that you:

  • Have education and/or around 1 year of work experience with graphic design
  • Great branding skills - Apply established branding guidelines and come up with new and appealing design solutions that works well under the established profiles
  • Great organizing skills - Capable of managing and completing multiple projects at the same time but also be able to prioritize across different tasks, projects and stakeholders
  • Great software skills - Good knowledge of the Adobe suite (especially Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator)
  • Are fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of esports and gaming
  • A passion for gaming
  • Experience in animation and motion graphics
  • Experience in 3D (Cinema 4D and/or Element 3D)
  • Fluent in Swedish
  • Multilingual, e.g. a third language
