Discord is growing fast and we’re building an outstanding marketing organization to help shape and scale our product narrative. We’re looking for a senior product marketer who shares our passion for fun and play and wants to join us in adding enthusiasm to the team as we continue to bring Discord activities to more and more users globally.
You’ll launch new consumer-facing features and updates that make it easy and seamless to hop into social hangouts with your group on Discord. You’ll lead the strategic thinking around how to identify key acquisition opportunities for the consumer product roadmap, and help drive the development of a clear position for Discord as a place to hang out for groups of any size.
You will lead a team around our product marketing strategy during one of the most exciting times in our business. You’ll work on product roadmaps to innovate our consumer products and experiences. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, policy, and partnerships to help scale Discord’s consumer products globally. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Product Marketing, Consumer.
What you'll be doing
Lead development and execution of our global go-to-market strategy that helps advance the strategic priorities of Discord and inform the consumer product strategy through marketing campaigns through research, user testing, and consumer insights.
Partner directly with Product and Engineering teams to identify the right product experiments to run, production positioning, data to track and analyze, or features to optimize to impact consumer acquisition.
Work with our Product and Engineering teams to advise, inform, and support ongoing product roadmap planning with user insights, competitive landscape, and risk assessment
Provide clear, proactive user education, tools, and support with Product Design, Customer Experience, and Policy teams to maintain positive user sentiment
Inspire us and our customers with powerful campaigns that drive user acquisition and retention.
Use quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to generate impactful strategic insights to make decisions on how to optimize growth for the Discord brand
Stay on top of trends in the market, find opportunities and develop strategy to grab the opportunities and understand the competitors.
What you should have
5+ years of experience in consumer technology marketing
Experience developing strategic marketing plans
Demonstrated experience and understanding of product strategy and go-to-market
Ability to set measurable goals and reliably execute on them
Ability to take groundbreaking ideas and operationalizing them by catalyzing action and aligning the appropriate resources and partners
Ability to influence effectively cross-functionally across all levels of management
Experience with how strategies and plans are guided by audience insights and behaviors
Experience in accurately prioritizing and ensuring key initiatives move forward
