DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, and the very creative Mirror's Edge games.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic students who want to join DICE for an internship as a UI Visual Scripter.At DICE, we use Frostbite that offers visual scripting in the engine, which is similar to Unreal's Blueprint system and Unity's Bolt feature.

Things we like to see at DICE

As an intern we don't expect you to be productive straight away. Learning our tools and workflows will take time. The most important thing is for you to learn, ask questions and be curious. Once you are ready to take on production tasks, your lead, manager and mentors will guide and assist you along the way.

  • Implement menu flows and HUD components to design specifications using visual scripting.
  • Prototyping, and the ability to sketch out ideas before diving into implementation.
  • Work in an environment that values collaboration and creativity.
  • Willingness to share knowledge throughout the team.
  • A love for playing and making games.

Good to have experience with

We look for fundamental design knowledge, passion for your craft and a broad understanding of the workflows related to your discipline.

  • Implemented screens, widgets, logic and data flows for another product
  • Experience implementing and/or designing UI features
  • Assisted in advocating best practices to the content team
  • Taken feedback from other people to improve workflows and support features
  • Given feedback to improve workflows and support features
  • Collaborated with other people on the same project
  • Have familiarity with a game engine
