Dexerto are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with experience in PHP and Nodejs to lead their backend development team. As a senior developer you’ll be involved in the whole development lifecycle: specification, development, building and writing fast, reliable and clean code on a daily basis.

You will join a growing team of passionate developers working on large scale web platforms. Dexerto are experiencing rapid growth which has led to the opportunity to build brand new products from the ground up. You will be a driving force behind some of the new techniques which will be used.

Skills and experience

• Good knowledge of development using PHP (5+ years) and Nodejs (3+ years)
• Good understanding of design patterns and OOP concepts
• Good knowledge of at least one MVC framework, ideally Laravel
• Good knowledge of building and extending REST APIs and GraphQL returning data in JSON
• Good knowledge of database design in SQL and Firebase
• Knowledge of source control with Git, especially branching/merging as needed
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Familiarity with agile techniques
• Experience with Wordpress
