Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Rhode Island Interscholastic League (RIIL), as relates to standard, rules and regulations.
  • Meet Esports standards regarding IT requirements; hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated experience in Esports activity
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provides direction, counseling, and guidance to students in the supervision for Esports activity; resolves problems in the program and conflicts among students and activity participants.
  • Esports will be played in two seasons (Oct-Jan/Feb-May) with different games that have been approved by the participating state association
  • Each season consists of pre-, regular- and post-season competitions with a state champion being crowned for each game at the end of the season.
  • Plans, coordinates, and schedules activities; attends and remains actively involved in all sponsored activities, meetings, and project.
  • Supervise and participate in the set-up and clean-up of all sponsored activities.
  • Prepares activity budget.
  • Obtains appropriate forms and signatures for sponsored events.
  • Coordinates with parents regarding activities.
  • Performs necessary correspondence duties.
  • Updates knowledge by attending clinics, workshops, and maintaining familiarity with current activity trends and innovative ideas.
  • As needed, coordinates chaperons and briefs them on their duties and responsibilities
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Completion of requisite on-line RIIL courses.
  • Communication proficiency.
  • Collaboration and teamwork

  • Salary: Coach rate as indicated by the Davies Teachers’ Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.

  • Workweek: Afterschool hours, days each week dependent upon need, position ends at the close of each school year.
