Position Summary

Join the studio as our next Online Services Engineer! In this role you will be responsible for developing online services that contribute directly to the in-game experience that Square Enix offers.

Essential Duties

  • Analyze detailed requirements from clients (producers, designers, architects)
  • Design and implement front/back-end solutions that meet requirements based off functionality and performance
  • Write quality algorithms and code in C++/Java/C#
  • Investigate and resolve client issues along with server bugs
  • Develop cross platform solutions (consoles, PC, mobile devices)
  • Implement optimal solutions in networking and database usage
  • Proactively participate and contribute to the team dynamic and projects

Competencies, Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent in C++ and Java
  • Strong in JavaScript and HTML
  • Strong OOD skills
  • Experience with security mechanism such as: encryption, authentication, and secured sockets
  • An approach oriented mentality towards client satisfaction
  • Maturity to give and receive constructive criticism is expected
  • Good Communication
  • Cross platform development
  • C# and .Net knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience in programming, computer engineering, and software engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of telecommunications/network or web services programming experience
  • Experience with TCP/IP and sockets
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Experience with QA concepts such as unit and regression tests
  • Good knowledge of the Xbox Live Services and PSN (End-user, API and TCR)
