CREATIVE ASSEMBLY ARE LOOKING FOR A QA MANGER TO JOIN OUR TOTAL WAR TEAM BASED AT OUR STUDIO IN HORSHAM, IN THE HEART OF WEST SUSSEX. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A TEAM AND HAVE AN IMPACT ON A WIDE RANGE OF PROJECTS WITHIN THE STUDIO.

In this exciting role, the successful candidate will build up to cover a range of TW projects including DLC and services. Bringing in prior knowledge and experience, this role will be both process and people orientated.

Key Responsibilities

As QA Manager, you will be closely supporting the TW development team, and be responsible for leading all QA aspects of a TW project throughout its lifecycle, from early development through to post release support. This will include defining the specific team needs and required roles and directly overseeing the leadership and development of QA staff on the project.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Ensure the quality of testing conducted, as needed, to form your own efficient QA team. Both internal and external test teams are to be applied as needed to execute the test strategy.
  • Utilise your prior games development experience to assist the assigned project development team in undertaking good QA practises throughout. This will include early development planning to form an evolving test strategy via ongoing communication with the lead developers.
  • Be responsible for assisting with any resourcing and hiring needs for the team as well as any training and mentoring required.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent QA leadership experience
  • Excellent, self-sufficient problem-solving skills. You will be aware of potential and current issues and offer practical and realistic plans to resolve them
  • Game studio development experience, ideally having worked on one larger project
  • Recruitment, hiring and interview experience
  • Relevant experience in project management, with a good understanding of planning scheduling, process, tracking and resource allocation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Experience with Agile and similar methodologies
  • Relevant experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Able to identify and assess risks and communicate ways to mitigate them

Desirable

  • Awareness of development pipelines and process
  • Training new QA teams
  • Data analysis and reporting (PowerBi, Jira, Excel)
  • A range of experience with Automation
  • Experience with team budget planning
