General Purpose

The Marketing Channel Manager - SEO will be responsible for serving as the digital marketing channel owner for SEO.

Position Summary, Responsibilities And Expectations

  • Develop SEO Strategy and implement SEO tactics to drive traffic to the site
  • Establish daily/weekly/monthly analytics to report, diagnose, and iterate campaigns
  • Lead engagement with SEO agencies to drive progress
  • Identify content improvements that can be made to the site to drive SEO. Partner with the site and content teams to implement such content changes
  • Partner with web and UX teams around channel specific needs and site-side funnel optimization
  • Partner with SEM Channel Manager to ensure optimial execution between SEM & SEO
  • Communicate performance, data-driven insights, and subsequent adjustments that tell a story to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure revenue, ROI, and other business goals are met
  • Report to Director of D2C Marketing alongside team of digital experts

Essential Skills And Experience

  • 5-7+ years of building and managing SEO strategy, preferably for D2C eCommerce brands
  • BS/BA in marketing, business administration, economics, or other technical field
  • Proven project management skills with track record of driving performance on cross-functional teams
  • Excellent understanding of key SEO principles (e.g. search engine algorithms) and how to optimize site content and landing pages to optimize organic search
  • Expertise with SEO platforms (Brightedge, Revvim, etc)
  • Ability to “dive under the hood”: quantitative, data-first approach with strong analytical deduction and diagnostic ability to find and solve problems
  • Expert in campaign infrastructure, deep understanding of link tracking, pixels/tags, Google Analytics, and marketing attribution
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels of the organization
