This pivotal role will define, scope and deliver the strategic roadmap for the RaceNet product, a key part of the EA Sports Racing Strategy. The purpose of the role is to evolve the RaceNet 2nd Screen product to be a driving force underpinning our Racing portfolio with measurable impact on engagement, NPS and revenue.

You will be tasked with building and delivering the RaceNet roadmap to support and inform web-based product strategy. Embedding the capabilities in the way we work at Codemasters operationally & strategically.

On an operational level this role will manage the team and the RaceNet scope to deliver against the requirements of the business stakeholders for second screen presence.

This is an exciting growing role requiring an entrepreneurial approach and interfacing with all levels of the business.

Responsibilities include:

PRODUCT VISION & SCOPE

  • Setting the vision in partnership with business leadership.
  • Anchoring the team by setting product objectives and key results that align with company strategy and product vision.
  • Evangelise and drive all RaceNet & Web work as part of the live operations of the business.
  • Work with the VP Development and Senior Director Brand Marketing and other stakeholders to scope, define & agree product targets that add value in the right areas. In tandem with the overall EA Sports strategy.
  • Use analytics and insights to set clear goals and priorities for the team.
  • Use complex data to inform decisions and present business cases to the business and develop a deep understanding of the competitive set.
  • Own and communicate roadmap for the RaceNet product

PROCESS

  • Sets standards for delivery practices and enables their team to execute on those standards across all dimensions.
  • Define and enforce product quality bar.
  • Oversee continual improvement in Dev Ops for rapid deployment.
  • Leverage EADP systems to enhance feature set.
  • Take a data informed, user focused, hypothesis based approach to learning and constant review results against this.
  • Drive retrospectives to examine team delivery and product quality objectively.
  • Enables their team members to build subject matter expertise and defensible points-of-view.
  • Enables the team to prioritize initiatives using a sound and defensible decision criteria.
  • Accountability for the Annual budget and forecast.
  • Recommends budget adjustments, justified with data.
  • Create, own and act upon risk register.

TEAM & COMMS

  • Leverages the team to drive collaboration, partnership and alignment with other teams across EA to ensure a cohesive offering that aligns with the company's business strategy.
  • Encourages a culture of perseverance and bias for action.
  • Set up regular communication with all stakeholders.
  • Mentor, manage, coach & lead existing team in best practice for product development and delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with Dev, Analytics, QA, Brand, Finance and Live Ops teams.
  • Make the case for and hire talent into team to grow across sites and products as appropriate.
  • Promotes team input and cooperation to set an example for how a team should function.
  • Collaborate with peers across EA.
  • Conducts regular 121s with all reports and manage Talent accordingly.

LOGISTICS

  • Regular travel to other UK based EA sites to proactively engage with stakeholders.
