The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, we are looking for a motivated startup mentality sales manager with the experience and passion in the gaming and esports categories to work with our team to grow the UK and European regions. The individual will be responsible for Code Red’s market validation and driving revenue through the sale of influencer activations, sponsorships and high impact media to a set account list. Your primary role will be to build upon Code Red’s success and work with the Head of Sales to advocate cross platform selling.

This is a senior sales role and we will be expecting you to generate new business from your existing networks and through your own creative means. We are looking to attract top quality people to work with us and offer a very competitive compensation package DOE.

This role is available for remote working within the United Kingdom with a 4-day hotdesking session approximately every 6 weeks in Birmingham (all expenses paid). As such, you will need a strong work ethic and be able to work independently and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail.

The position is Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm (flexible for the right candidate), however due to the nature of the clients we work with, there is a need to be flexible with some travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the revenue, budget, pipeline, forecasting, etc. of a set account list in the European territory to ensure Code Red quarterly revenue targets are achieved.
  • Maintain and expand a strong portfolio of potential client contacts and agency partners across a specific vertical(s) who are targeting the Gen Z and Millennial demographics.
  • Creatively and strategically work with the campaigns team to develop and present strategic solutions to brands and agencies so they understand the value of gaming/esports.
  • Sell digital media and influencer marketing campaigns that include standard and custom ad formats, live streams, unique content integrations, social amplification and more.
  • Drive and effectively communicate deals from lead generation to closing, with the assistance of the wider Code Red campaigns team for pre and post-sales support
  • Handle administrative responsibilities for reporting using tools such as ClickUp, Google Sheets and more.
  • Travel as needed to attend meetings and events with clients.
  • Deliver on your set goals and other business KPIs.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience working within sales organizations whose clients targeted the Millennial audience, ideally within the gaming and esports space.
  • Personable and charismatic individual who is prepared to work in a fun and team-oriented culture that performs.
  • A relationship network of ad agencies and brands both endemic and non-endemic to the gaming category.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media, online marketing, events, influencer marketing and their competitive landscapes.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate efficiently internally and externally.
  • Sound business judgment, integrity, problem solving and analytical problem-solving skills.
