Cloud Imperium Games under the direction of Chris Roberts, creator of Wing Commander, is seeking an experienced, driven, and organized Recruiter to join us in our Austin studio!

We want a passionate and intuitive Recruiter to not only focus on finding candidates, but also to improve to internal recruiting processes and grow our US Recruitment presence. Working with the Recruitment Manager we want to build an engaging candidate experience that they’ll remember.

As the sole Recruiter in the US, working with our Recruitment team in Europe. You’ll be expected to be a truly rounded Recruiter, be self-motivated and continue to add improvements. We want a modern Recruiter that understands the importance of ‘Talent Branding’ and does not just rely on traditional methods.

Responsibilities

  • Establish recruiting requirements by maintaining an awareness of company plans and partnering with department managers and the Recruitment Manager to determine needs and priorities
  • Develop a recruiting plan outlining the types of candidates needed and how they will be sourced
  • Build up and maintain a network to proactively source applicants for current and future openings
  • Develop recruiting initiatives with universities and seek out opportunities for developing business relationships with course leaders
  • Attend recruitment events and invite relevant hiring managers
  • Attract applicants by drafting and placing job advertisements
  • Evaluate applicants as part of a screening process and make recommendations to hiring manager
  • Arrange interviews by coordinating schedules and travel needs and follow up on the interview process status
  • Management of applications using the company’s internal applicant tracking database
  • Prepare offer letters and manage the onboarding of successful candidates
  • Manage new employee relocation
  • Ensure that the company is acting in compliance with recruitment legislation
  • Management of the company’s Employee Referral Policy
  • Assist with employer branding and ensure we offer a positive candidate experience
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies
  • Manage the company’s recruitment email inbox and answer candidate queries on the application process
  • Keep accurate records of the recruitment process according to data protection policies and handle associated administration

Requirements

  • 4+ years of combined experience within agency and internal recruitment
  • Solid understanding of the full recruitment cycle
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking databases
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft word software package – primarily Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of various sourcing techniques and methods to successful find the right candidate
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proactive attitude and attention to detail

Pluses

  • Knowledge of the video game industry would be an advantage
  • Awareness of relevant recruitment legislation and legalities
  • Familiar with creative social media posts
  • Good understanding of the type of events we should attend
