Company Description

  • Cloud Imperium Games in Frankfurt, Germany is looking for a talented and enthusiastic QA
  • Tester to work with a cross-studio QA team on identifying and verifying issues for the Persistent Universe and Squadron 42.


  • Support studio-wide QA leads improving existing testing procedures and identifying requirements
  • Find, report, and verify issues on assigned projects
  • Verify features and systems on a daily basis and create feedback for the QA lead
  • Execute and maintain test cases on assigned projects
  • Perform directed ad-hoc testing on focused areas
  • Provide feedback to the development team on product features
  • Compose daily and weekly progress reports for the QA lead
  • Work with QA leads to provide testing estimates for features based on their scope and complexity


  • 1+ years professional game production experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the game development process
  • Shipped (from pre-production to release) 1, large scale, 3D title (PC, current/next-gen consoles)
  • Strong bug-writing and communication skills
  • Advanced skill in identifying and isolating issues systemically to help with resolving problems quicker
  • Good understanding of the different issue type terminology (crashes, freezes, blocker, etc.) and the necessary steps to provide valuable information for the developers
  • Ability to stay organized, meet strict deadlines and exhibit great follow-through
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced and always-changing work environment
  • Detail-oriented and quick learner who works well with a cross-discipline team
  • Good knowledge with the Microsoft Office package
  • Good knowledge with various bug tracking tools such as Jira
  • Keep a positive team-oriented attitude
  • Be proactive and self-motivated, work without direct supervision
  • Ability to complete tasks within given time constraints
  • Excellent English communication and written skills
  • Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Other information

  • Knowledge with Lumberyard, especially the Sandbox toolset
  • Experience testing multiple platforms
  • Experience with writing test cases and ownership of feature areas
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET and its respective debugging tool
  • Basic programming/scripting knowledge
  • Automated testing experience
  • Willing to travel internationally if needed
