With a remarkable history that dates back to 1884, Central Christian College of Kansas offers a Christ-centered education for the whole person – heart, mind, body and soul. Central is a small, private, four-year college that offers over forty areas of study both on-ground and online. Our mission is to provide a Christ-Centered Education for Character. While our college is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America, we welcome all students regardless of religious preference, race, color, handicap or economic status. Our students come from all faiths and backgrounds – and our college’s character and lifestyle are communicated to each prospective student. Our purpose is to nurture Christian leaders who lead lives of character and service for the betterment of our society and the world.

Our Mission:

Christ-Centered education for character.

We are dedicated to educating men and women of character who impact the world for Christ. This mission statement is a reaffirmation of that seminal goal. It is an uncomplicated and clear-cut reminder of the ethos that has inspired this institution since its inception. This mission drives us forward to higher levels of excellence and distinction on and off the field of competition.

Our Vision:

In humble response to God’s direction and provision, Central Christian College seeks to be a premier global educational institution focused on providing a Christ Centered Education for Character to any person desiring to become a faithful steward of mind, heart, body, and soul.

The vision statement of Central Christian College of Kansas is a broad declaration of what our institution believes God desires for us to accomplish. It represents an aspiration that serves as an impetus to drive our institution.

Ephesians 4:12, 13 provides the challenge that beats at the heart of our mission and vision. It reads, “…prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

Our Statement of Faith:

Central Christian College of Kansas is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America and, as such, we articulate the following statements of belief:

  • We believe the only living and true God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His victorious ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative word of God, revealing His will concerning all things necessary to salvation and Christian living.
  • We believe each person has sinned and is unable through personal effort to restore that broken relationship with God, and can only receive salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
  • We believe a right relationship with God comes through the redemptive acts of God in Jesus Christ, so that when one turns to Christ by faith and accepts His grace, one receives the gift of a new life in Christ.
  • We believe in the present and continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit who empowers Christians for lives of holiness and service.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and in the importance of Christian community for spiritual growth in Christ.
  • We believe it is important for all followers of Christ to share their faith with others, so they too may come to know Him, for when He returns He will judge the living and the dead. Those who are saved will be welcomed to spend eternity with Him, and those who are lost will be eternally separated from Him.

Our Core Purpose:

To honor and obey God through Jesus Christ, as empowered by the Holy Spirit, by presenting the Gospel to every student and developing Christian students to be servant-leaders to the world now and for all of human history.

Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.”
