  • Own the payroll tax compliance process and support internal payroll team by researching and addressing any inquiries from state revenue agencies

  • Independently lead projects: setting timelines, coordinating with global teams, and managing deliverables.

  • Monitor and advise on tax law changes and their implications for the business.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions.

  • Identify and support R&D activities eligible for tax incentives or grants.

  • Help to optimize business structures and strategies from the perspective of taxation.

  • Prepare annual R&D tax credit calculations and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Work with various local and state government entities to identify and pursue additional non-R&D incentives both in the United States as well as Canada.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR, Accounting, and Game Production.

  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on tax matters.

  • Continuously seek ways to improve tax-related processes, documentation practices, and cross-team workflows.

  • Work in conjunction with internal tax teams to ensure compliance across any cross border transactions within the capital group.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in tax, finance, or grant advisory roles.

  • Deep expertise in income tax regulations, particularly in relation to tax credits and innovation grants.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to independently assess complex tax scenarios.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to navigate financial records.

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and respectfully across teams and cultures.

  • Experience managing projects from planning to execution.

  • Comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with strategic thinking.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a cross-functional, international environment.
