CCP Iceland is looking for an experienced, innovative Rendering Engineer with a deep passion for games and games development. The successful candidate is a highly talented and driven individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving. You will be working on developing new features and tools for our critically acclaimed science-fiction game EVE Online.

Your tasks:

Design and implement new graphical algorithms, features and solutions into the rendering capabilities of EVE Online
Identify graphical performance issues and implement solutions
Collaborate with the graphics team to help develop the visual direction and capabilities of the engine
With the assistance of a Producer; investigate, plan, and implement projects and tasks related to the health and capabilities of the game engine
Actively participate in all aspects of release and sprint planning, building a backlog of work in collaboration with the Producer and Technical Director
Contribute innovative ideas and solutions towards all aspect of the game and development processes
Prioritize and meet deadlines, document and communicate progress

Your profile:

Experience using C/C++ with knowledge of the rendering pipeline
Experience with modern APIs such as DirectX12, Metal or Vulkan
Familiarity with CPU and GPU profiling tools
Experience in multi-threaded design
Understanding of real-time graphics shader programming
Good programming and debugging skills in C++ required, with Python being an advantage
Familiarity with console development (PlayStation, Xbox)
Comfortable in refactoring and porting legacy code
Knowledge of development methodologies and working in teams
Excellent communication skills for both spoken and written English
Minimum 5 years’ experience with software development
